St. Nicks Alliance is a community organization which seeks to transform lives of low- and moderate-income people through employment, education, housing, and health care. They deliver impactful services with measurable outcomes to children, adults, and the elderly. As a civic anchor St. Nicks Alliance carries out this mission within the context of building a sustainable community for all people through the arts, environmental advocacy, and urban planning. St. Nicks Alliance partners with public schools to operate free community schools and after-school centers. Through year-round youth development, academic support, enrichment activities, and Transformational Coaching, students receive the high-quality after-school services they need to succeed in school, graduate high school, and go on to college and/or a career. St. Nicks Alliance partners with School Settlement Association, Community School District 14, NYC Department of Education, NYC Department of Youth and Community Development, NYS Council on the Arts, and the NYS Office of Children and Family Services to ensure children, ages 5–14, have rich, engaging experiences during out-of-school hours. They also partner with the NYC Housing Authority to provide these same services at local community centers.
