Submission Declined with Pierre Bal-Blanc and Tobi Maier

June 24, 2026, 7–8 pm
Libreria Brac, Florence, Italy

Submission Declined has been published by Hela Press and designed by Teo Schifferli. The book presents the unapproved Wikipedia page submission for Jeff Wall Production, a conceptual label instigated by Pierre Bal-Blanc. From inception to legacy, this text serves as a performative gesture of resistance to institutional protocols of authorship and the dynamics of audience engagement.

A lexicon and history of Bal-Blanc’s practice, Submission Declined is a mirror held up to encyclopedic authority. It supplies the very evidence of ‘notability’ that the Wikipedia system demands, staging its own entry into legitimacy by becoming the reference it was once denied.

The publication launch will be followed by a conversation between Pierre Bal-Blanc and Tobi Maier, Chief Curator of Amant.
